These questions and answers also incorporate our company's policy and Terms and Conditions for our Connoisseur Club and any orders that apply to our Connoisseur Club members or former Connoisseur Club members. General Questions

To experience the full pleasure of Boca Java gourmet coffee, pay close attention to the brewing process:

  • First, we recommend you start with bottled or filtered water. Coffee is approximately 98% water, so your choice of water greatly impacts the taste.
  • Secondly, we recommend using between 1 3/4 to 2 tablespoons of our gourmet coffee per 8 oz. cup of filtered water. Adjust measurement to your taste preference. 
  • Also, if time and equipment permits, we recommend using whole bean coffee and grinding the beans just prior to the brewing process.

Our gourmet teas are handpicked from the finest gardens in the world. To indulge in the full flavor of our teas, we recommend the following brewing process:

  • We recommend that you start with bottled or filtered water.
  • Spoon one teaspoon of tea for each 6 ounces of filtered water. It is best to place the dry tea into an infuser that can be placed in a cup of water or in a tea press and then pour the boiling water on top of the tea.
  • Allow it to steep for 3 - 5 minutes. Then pour into a cup and enjoy!

One of the greatest benefits of the Boca Java Connoisseur Club is its flexible delivery program! Boca Java provides its customers with tools to custom design their own delivery schedule to meet their needs. In addition, Boca Java communicates all shipments via e-mail prior to the packages leaving our fulfillment center so no customer should ever receive an unwanted shipment.

If you received an e-mail regarding an order that you did not want, please contact one of our customer service representatives at 888-BOCA-JAVA before the order ship date! We notify our customers via e-mail before all orders are shipped. If you call prior to shipping, we can reschedule the order, change the order and even cancel the order. (Obligation shipments are required for all connoisseur club members, signed up through a promotional offer, before orders may be cancelled)

Should you refuse a shipment prior to contacting a Customer Care Representative, Boca Java will charge a $25 return shipping and handling fee, this will be in the form of an electronic gift certificate and will be applied directly to your account.
  • If coffee is included in your order, it typically takes us 48-72 hours to roast your coffee fresh to order and ship it out.
  • If coffee is not included in your order typically we ship 24-48 hours from the time you place your order.  Shipping dates may vary if order is placed on the weekend.
  • We use UPS and USPS as our carriers.  Depending on your location, this shipping time ranges from 1 to 5 days.
  • Overnight and 2 day Express Service is available through UPS by specifying that at checkout.  There is a surcharge for express services that are calculated at checkout.

Shipping costs vary based on weight, delivery method and destination. Typically, shipping costs range approximately $6 to $8 per four bags of coffee.  Your shipping costs are calculated and displayed during the checkout process.

Overnight, 2-Day and 3-Day express shipping is also available for an extra fee.  The exact amount depends on the level of service, the destination address and number of items being shipped.  The exact express shipping will be calculated at the time of checkout.

In addition to the charges calculated during your checkout, there are certain addresses where we assess a surcharge due to our increased cost of shipping and processing. 

Any P.O. boxes, APO addresses or shipments to Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico are assessed an additional $4.00 shipping charge ($8 if the package weighs over 10 lbs). 

We accept all major credit cards - Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.  To pay by credit card, click on  "view cart/checkout" after making your product selections.  You will then be guided through the checkout and payment process.
Yes, we take credit card security seriously. To ensure your credit card is safe, we encrypt the information into a secure socket file. This file locks up your information and it cannot be viewed by outside parties, Boca Java employees, or our customer service representatives. We never display the entire card number on the screen.
Boca Java ships throughout the United States. We do not currently ship to Canada or any other international location.

If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will gladly exchange it, or replace it. (This offer is not valid on Introductory Promotional Offers.)
Please note that we only accept returns that are less than 30 days old (from the orginal ship date). Any order that is returned will receive a $25 credit towards Boca Java merchandise for the first $25 of the order. The remainder of the balance will then be credited to your credit card.
Simply select the Enroll Now button while visiting our Connoisseur Club page or while shopping for your coffee in our online store. At checkout, you will be prompted to select how often you would like to receive your coffee.

Absolutely, just go to the "My Profile" section of Your Account and click on "My Shipping Address Book". From here you will be able to manage your shipping addresses.
Connoisseur Club purchases require a two bag minimum.  For non-club purchases, there is no minimum amount.  However, because of shipping and handling costs, larger orders may be more cost effective for you. 
Yes, we do ship to P.O. Boxes, but a $4 surcharge will be charged per order that is in HI, AK, VI and PR. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide our customers with tracking information for product shipped this way.

Boca Bucks
Anyone who shops at Boca Java can become a member of the Boca Bucks Loyalty Program just by registering with Boca Java. From that point forward, every dollar you spend goes towards earning Boca Bucks that can be used for extraordinary gift items.
Your Boca Bucks never expire. They remain active as long as your account is active. Accounts that have no activity after 30 months are considered inactive and will be deleted. In this case, the Boca Bucks will also be deleted.
Every member has a unique Boca Bucks account number. Simply go online to www.bocajava.com or www.bocabucks.com and select Your Account to view your personalized account information including how many boca bucks you have accumulated.
There are many exciting ways to earn Boca Bucks.  You get $10 in Boca Bucks for every dollar you spend on Boca Java coffee and accessories.  In addition, there are special bonus opportunities to earn Boca Bucks :
  • You receive $250 in Boca Bucks for each person who purchases Boca Java products or accessories based on your referal.
  • You also earn $250 for becoming a member of the Connoisseur Club.
  • Bonus Boca Bucks are also rewarded to our exclusive Silver, Gold, Platinum and Commodores club level members.
Referring friends are easy and quick way to accumulate bonus Boca Bucks.   Once you are signed in, it takes two simple steps to refer a friend: Go to www.bocajava.com and let us know the email addresses of the friends you would like to refer. We will send them an email on your behalf letting them know that you personally referred them to enjoy our delicious gourmet coffee. We will also provide them an e-Coupon for $5 off their first purchase with us. Call them and get them excited about Boca Java and ask them to check their email! It is that simple to have your friend enjoy the same gourmet coffee you do.
Boca Bucks may be redeemed for many extraordinary gifts. Just go online and search www.bocabucks.com for fabulous gifts and other redeemable items. Once you have chosen the item, just call our customer service number at 888-BOCA-JAVA (262-2528) to redeem your Boca Bucks for that item. The appropriate Boca Bucks will be deducted from your account and a small fee will be charged to your credit card to cover shipping and handling as well as applicable state taxes.
Membership is free. The Boca Bucks Program is designed to reward our loyal customers with points (we call them Boca Bucks) for every dollar spent on Boca Java products. Simply register at www.bocajava.com and you are instantly elibible to start earning Boca Bucks.
Yes you may.  There is a $15 transfer fee to process the request.  By calling 1-888 BOCA JAVA a customer service representative will be able to assist you in that process. 
Connoisseur Club
Yes. The Connoisseur Club provides you with ultimate flexibility. Your Boca Butler will notify you in advance of every order and provide all the information necessary to make any changes.

Absolutely. As a member of the Connoisseur Club, you automatically become a Silver level member of the Boca Bucks Loyalty program. Silver status members receive $12 in Boca Bucks for every dollar spent on Boca Java coffee and accessories. This is the fastest way to earn Boca Bucks.
Your shipments are roasted to order on the date specified in your personalized connoisseur club account.  You may change this on line, real time until the coffee is roasted.  The account number specified in your connoisseur club account is charged for the shipment sent. 
While we do not wish to see our loyal Connoisseur Club members leave us, you may cancel at anytime by clicking this link Suspend Account. If you joined through one of our promotional offers, there may be additional orders that are required to be met before canceling the club membership (or you may select the inactivation charge). Please see your original terms and conditions of your obligation for more information.

If you just need to skip a month or suspend your delivery temporarily, you can do that by logging into your account and going to your 'My Account' page. There you will see a link titled 'Connoisseur Club Self-Service'. Click on that link and you will find the tools to manage your account.

PLEASE NOTE: You may not cancel through email. You must use the online Suspend Account service to process your cancellation.

Nothing.  Membership is absolutely free.   The Connoisseur Club is designed to give you the convenience of continuous delivery of your favorite Boca Java gourmet coffee.   To remain a member of the club, all you do is purchase a minimum of 2 bags of coffee at least every 6 weeks.   You may cancel at any time with no cancellation fees or penalties. Cancellation must be done by phone during our normal business hours.
No.  By becoming a member of the Connoisseur Club, you are automatically enrolled in the Boca Bucks Loyalty program as a Silver level member. 

Yes. Just log-in to your personal account and go to the 'My Account' page. 

Click on 'Change Club Options' and you will find all the tools to manage your delivery schedule.

Both of these great programs provide our members with several benefits.

The Boca Bucks Loyalty program is designed to reward our loyal customers with points (we call them Boca Bucks) that can be redeemed for valuable gifts.  For every dollar spent at Boca Java coffee and accessories, you receive $10 in Boca Bucks. Connoisseur Club members, on the other hand, set-up a continuous delivery schedule of their favorite gourmet coffee.  This allows you to have freshly roasted coffee delivered to your door on a regular basis.  Connoisseur club members also become automatic Silver Level members of the Boca Bucks Loyalty program.  Silver Level members earn Boca Bucks at an accelerated rate.

Great new feature! There is no need to worry about remembering to call Boca Java to update your information. Your expiration date will automatically update before it expires so that you may continue to receive your freshly roasted coffee with out any delays.
