Quick answers to some of the most commonly asked questions. These questions and answers also incorporate our company policy and terms and conditions for our Home Delivery Service, and any orders that apply to our Home Delivery Service members or former Home Delivery Service members. General Questions
To experience the full pleasure of Boca Java gourmet coffee, pay close attention to the brewing process:
- First, we recommend you start with bottled or filtered water. Coffee is approximately 98% water, so your choice of water greatly impacts the taste.
- Secondly, we recommend using between 1 3/4 to 2 tablespoons of our gourmet coffee per 8 oz. cup of filtered water. Adjust measurement to your taste preference.
- Also, if time and equipment permits, we recommend using whole bean coffee and grinding the beans just prior to the brewing process.

Our gourmet teas are handpicked from the finest gardens in the world. To indulge in the full flavor of our teas, we recommend the following brewing process:
- We recommend that you start with bottled or filtered water.
- Spoon one teaspoon of tea for each 6 ounces of filtered water. It is best to place the dry tea into an infuser that can be placed in a cup of water or in a tea press and then pour the boiling water on top of the tea.
- Allow it to steep for 3 - 5 minutes. Then pour into a cup and enjoy!
If you received an email regarding an order that you did not want, please contact one of our customer service representatives at 888-BOCA-JAVA before the order ship date. We notify our customers via email before all orders are shipped. If you call prior to shipment, we can reschedule the order, change the order, or even cancel the order (Obligation shipments are required before any orders may be cancelled for Home Delivery Service members who sign up through a promotional offer with obligations.).
Should you refuse a shipment prior to contacting a Customer Care representative, Boca Java will charge a $25 return shipping and handling fee. This will be in the form of an electronic gift certificate and will be applied directly to your account.
- If coffee is included in your order, it typically takes us 48-72 hours to roast your coffee fresh to order and ship it out.
- If coffee is not included in your order typically we ship 24-48 hours from the time you place your order. Shipping dates may vary if order is placed on the weekend.
- We use UPS and USPS as our carriers. Depending on your location, this shipping time ranges from 1 to 5 days.
- Overnight and 2 day Express Service is available through UPS by specifying that at checkout. There is a surcharge for express services that are calculated at checkout.
Shipping costs vary based on weight, delivery method, and destination. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at the time of checkout. If we incur increased costs for shipping and processing to certain addresses, an additional surcharge may be assessed. P.O. boxes, APO addresses, and shipments to Hawaii, Alaska, and all U.S. territories are assessed an additional $4 shipping charge ($8 for packages weighing more than 10 lbs.). Currently, we do not ship internationally.
Food Product Return Policy:
Because we are a roast-to-order coffee company with exacting freshness and quality standards, we do not resell returned coffee and therefore we only give store credit for returned coffee; however, if we send you items that are broken, defective, incorrect, or missing, we will re-ship the new item(s) at no charge. If we issue a credit, the first $25 will be applied to your Boca Java account as a store credit and the balance will be returned to your credit card. Your store credits will exclude shipping costs and are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. If you cancel your coffee order after we begin roasting but before we ship your coffee, you will receive a store credit equal to 75% of the total order value, excluding shipping costs. All returns must be received within 30 days of the ship date.
Non-Food Product Return Policy:
Boca Java will exchange or replace any non-food product within 30 days of the ship date. After we receive your item(s), we will refund the full price of the item(s) minus shipping fees. The non-food return policy applies to all orders with the exception of items that were part of a promotional offer. For items returned that are broken, defective, incorrect, or missing, Boca Java will re-ship at no charge.
*All refunds are at Boca Java's discretion.

If you just need to skip a month or suspend your delivery temporarily, you can do that by logging into your account and going to your 'My Account' page. There you will see a link titled 'Home Delivery Self-Service'. Click on that link and you will find the tools to manage your account.
PLEASE NOTE: You may not cancel via email. You must use the online Suspend Account service to process your cancellation.
