I do not know why you need it to open at two ends when there is no divider.

This canister is a great idea, but the latches are so cheap that they will break too soon, then it will be useless. I would never buy it if shopping in a store.

I've wanted one of these since I saw one a friend had that was sold in the 90s. The FIFO keeps my coffee fresh and the measuring spoon is perfect for my French press.

Great product at a good price.
