This is a great unflavored coffee. It is balanced, has a wonderful med. dark roast, and low acidity. It's our favorite "non-flavored" blend. We mix it with any flavored coffee we buy, our favorite of which is "Surfing Safari".

Again, I make sure to brew it with bottled water in order to keep out any impurities and keep the flavor as clean as possible

The flavor is this coffee is perfect. I purchased the whole bean coffee and I grind it fresh each morning. I prepare the coffee in my French Press. It always comes out great. It has a nice aroma and a full bodied flavor. It's bold... but not overly bold.

A very good cup of coffee. Good flavor with a little sweetness - which seems to be enhanced when a little cream and sugar are added. I had previously been drinking the Boca Sunrise and found the flavor of this coffee to be a bit more of a 'one note' flavor, and a bitmore acidic than Boca Sunrise, but overall an excellent cup of coffee

I used it for espresso, ground fine. Roast is medium-dark, similar to Illy.
Taste was flat with notable sour component.
I like Boca Sunrise much better for espresso--that one is similar to Illy or SBC Henry's blend.

I find myself passing up all the local coffee shops because I'm so satisfied with this blend. I drink 3-5 cups a day and used to purchase at least 4 cups a week from the national coffee chains for an afternoon break or to bring to meetings, but now, with a travel cup of this brew in my car, I don't need to spend the extra money. This is one of my favorites at Boca Java. It is smooth, rich, and makes one of the best cups of coffee you will have. I find it is best brewed in a percolator with just a dash of salt in the grinds.

I was not very happy with this coffee. There is a bitter aftertaste that lingers. I have tried brewing it at different strength levels and can't seem to get past the bitterness even with a weak brew.

I don't consume my Coastal Costa Rica Coffee on an every day basis because I appreciate it's distinct flavor as an occasional treat. I prefer it in the early evening when I get home from work. It has a very mild flavor and is very soothing. As the weather outside is now colder, a hot cup of coffee when I get home is very inviting.

Of all the coffee I've tried from Boca, I like this roast the best (so far). It's not acidy in my stomach, & the flavor is exceptional, especially for a larger type of grind. For 8 cups, I used nine coffee measures.

I belong to several coffee clubs and usually enjoy sampling an array of products. The light flavor of the blend was too light and somewhat disappointing. Out of the 4 brand flavors I chose this order it comes in at 4th...it requres too much coffee grounds to make a decent tasting pot. I think I'll stick with the full body dark roasts so I can taste what I'm drinking.

This is my daily coffee. I drink it in the a.m. and the p.m. It's a dark roast, but has a pleasing aroma and flavor. I use to buy Starbucks Verona and this roast has replaced it. I'm a creature of habit. I try other Boca Java flavors and roasts, but I always come back to this one. I've gotten so use to it that I take a bag when I visit my daughter, so I can have my "own" coffee.
