to use this up, we have to combine the beans 5 to 1, as in 5 times expresso or general coffee to this mint coffee beans, and it comes off like chemicals other wise and mint too strong.

I have to agree with the comments: Where's the mint? I was hoping for something pleasant to explode in my mouth with this one, but is was virtually tasteless. It sounded like a fantastic combination; chocolate and mint, but I could not taste nor smell either. Personally, most of the flavored coffees could use a boost of flavor in them all. I like to smell and taste the flavors, that is why I order the flavored blends. If I wanted a plain, only coffee taste, I would order it that way. Boca Java uses excellent beans but they need to kick it up a notch for us flavored drinkers. The only flavor yet to come close to that wonderful fragrance and tongue pleasing taste is the Maple Bacon. I would have to admit the bacon does over power the maple flavor, but at least this one has a pleasing flavor and aroma. I wish they ALL did!!

We saved this coffee for family pre-brunch on Easter Sunday, and served in the automatic drip maker. There are two self-admitted "chocoholics", two self-proclaimed "anti-chocolatiers", and two coffee-adicts who'll drink just about anything set in front of us in our family. *All* drinkers enjoyed both the aroma and the flavor. This blend paired well with mini-cinnamon rolls and coffee cake, and didn't overpower either. The consistency was not too thick, nor was the strength too bold. Only the after-taste lingered, and while it was a bit of a strange after-taste, a bit of peppermint took care of it. We've been asked to bring this blend to other pre-brunch events in the future.

We use an automatic drip coffee maker. We purchased ground coffee in this flavor. The Chocolate/Mint did not mix well. It had a bitter after-taste, which by the way is the one thing we love about almost all other Boca Java blends - is they are NOT bitter and don't have an aftertaste.

I really loved this coffee. It is the perfect coffee for the afternoon when you just need a little lift, mentally or in actuality, or both!
