Despite being persona non grata with Boca Java, I feel compelled nonetheless to add my two cents and report that having purchased several different versions of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee over the years from reputable purveyors, this version rates at or near the top. Only J. Martinez & Company can consistently compete. Even when including only genuine 100% Blue Mountain coffees for comparison, they unfortunately and for reasons I do not understand, do not exhibit uniform taste or quality from company to company. Worse yet, the price paid also demonstrates no relationship with taste and quality. Perhaps then, the answer predominantly lies with the art of the roaster!

This coffee is unbelievably pricey, and not worth 25% of the price. It is hyped up as being exceptional, and I strongly recommend that you save your money and pass on it.

I have loved this coffee for years!! But I was quite disappointed when I tasted Boca's. Taste was not too appealing and quite frankly, the cost does not match the flat taste.

Unfortunately, the Jamaican Blue Mountain did not live up to it's billing or full retail price for a very good Jamaican BM. I was very disappointed, given my experience with Boca Java coffees. Thankfully I purchased it on sale and had a pound of a blended (unknown % of BM and non-BM Jamaican beans) to mix it with. The result miraculously (pure dumb luck) proved better than either of the original brews. There simply is not enough flavor and body for the best BM roasts. I can not recommend it, even at the sale price.

This is a VERY good coffee. The thing that strikes me is how smooth it is. It is a very well balanced coffee. If you are looking to splurge or find a gift for that hard to buy for person try this out. However, I got it to drink a little at a time...it was gone in just a few days!

I'm sure that some of you are going to consider this blasphemy ... but I'd just as soon have a cup of a standard supermarket brand. I didn't find any distinctive flavor, and most standard supermarket brands have a better aroma. Boca Java has some of the best coffees I've found ... but this one really isn't one of them.
