The coffee smells divine as you open the packet, being surrounded by the aroma of warm caramel and chocolates. Even as you brew this grind, the aroma remains, somehow becoming a bit tangy in the back of your throat ... sharp even, but still quite good.
When drinking, however, the acidity seems to overbalance itself and that sweet caramel taste becomes overpowering and seems to coat your tongue like a plaster. It leaves a very sharp, bitter aftertaste that almost seems over-roasted. It was disappointing.

I dont use flavored coffees very often but once in a while I like something different. I would like this and all of the bocca java flavored coffees much more if they were a darker roast. I usually add some of the Sumatran Sunset to add some additional body
