This beautiful new coffee from the Democratic Republic of Congo is produced by the Muungano Co-Op, in the Eastern Highlands, off the shores of Lake Kivu. 'Muungano' means 'togetherness' in Swahili and it's a guiding principal for the farmers of the Co-operative.
Muungano's farmers are committed to investing in coffee nurseries, building community-level micro-washing stations, and taking great measures to preserve the land by tending the soil with home-made compost and mulch instead of chemicals.
We're proudly now offering you, for a limited time, this rare, fully washed coffee from the Muungano Co-Op, in support of the model by which they now live; 'Unity is strength, coffee is life'
