My wife prefers decaf because she finds it less bitter, but we've both noticed a bitterness with this, and have not tasted the caramel flavoring. I usually use 2 tablespoons of whole beans and thought that was why I wasn't getting the flavor, so I tried 3 and then it just seemed extra bitter. (PS. I found I needed 4 tbl of beans of Starbucks Pike Place roast that I brought home from Seattle to get non-watery coffee, but so far 2 has been working for Boca Java)

    The caramel doesn't have the same brewing smells many of the other Boca Java coffees have,especially Frosty's Favorite,which we love!The taste is barely there in the same comparison.

    I enjoy quite a few of the flavored decafs from Boca Java. If this were a choice in the store, I'd buy it because there wouldn't be anything that competes. But here on Boca Java, it's one of the less exciting flavored decafs.

      I drink caffeinated coffee during the day until about 8pm. Then I start on my decaf coffee. I can't tell the difference between the to versions (with and without caffeine) with these coffees. I prefer flavored coffees, and this one nicely fits the bill as I also enjoy caramel flavor. I wouldn't mind if it were a little stronger on the caramel, but it is still enough to make my taste buds happy.
